College Days

I was just browsing the Bed Bath & Beyond website and something caught my eye: "Shop For College." Those three words made me feel all sentimental. I shopped there with my mom to prepare for my college dorm room (well, more like college apartment) 7 years ago. I was 18 and filled with excitement for what's to come. I still remember the very early days of my college life. Everything was so new to me, the city, the campus, the language, the classes, and of course the roommates and the friends.

I really had the time of my life at USC. Looking back, those five years just flew by. I partied hard for 3 years and studied hard for 2 years. I want to go back so badly. I wonder if my life is ever going to be better than those days. The last 2 years have been pretty uneventful, except for the fact that Bill and I are tighter than ever, and my yoga practice is progressing.

Where is my life going? And more importantly, where do I wanna take it to? I'm on a journey to find myself, find my soul...

I had a similar experience several days ago on campus.
I was studying at the libary when I noticed a group of pre-froshes playing football on the field in front of the library. 18, had that look of entitlement that I am sure I once had, and possessed their whole college life to look forward to.
Then theres me, 25, finishing grad school, had my whole college life to look BACK upon.
Are we growing up, or just getting older? .... Guess we have to wait on that one.

Nostalgia.. nostalgia... We were once there. I loved that feeling of everything being new to me. What do we look forward to now? But I'm glad I'm going through this "growing-up" process with you!

Feeling nostalgic, aren't you? ;)It's so wonderful that you had an amazing college experience - *LOVE* that, instead of "missing" that, you know? Then you will get more of what you *LOVE.* When we believe we are *missing* something, then that's what we manifest. Thoughts are very powerful, you know? You have such an amazing, beautiful life, Ami-chan. Love and cherish every minute of it, because the past and the futre really do not exist. You only have "NOW" to enjoy and have fun! :)
